We’re excited to have FSHL represented in the 4th of July Parade!

Here is the full breakdown for anyone participating:

📍 MEETING LOCATION

Please meet at the 99 Restaurant parking lot.

⏰ TIMES

8:00 AM — Anyone helping decorate the float should arrive.

9:00 AM — All players, parents, coaches, and parade participants should arrive.

10:00 AM — Parade begins / we march.

📍 PARADE ROUTE

The parade starts at St. Bernard’s Elementary School and ends at the Upper Common on Main Street.

🏒 WHAT PLAYERS SHOULD WEAR

All players should wear either:

• Their FSHL House League jersey

or

• Their Fitchburg Raiders uniform

Sneakers only — represent ball hockey the right way!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 PARENTS

Parents are welcome to participate with their players.

🚛 FLOAT HELP

Anyone interested in helping decorate the float should arrive at 8:00 AM.

We’ll need help setting up decorations, signs, banners, and making the float look great before the parade begins.

FSHL 4TH OF JULY PARADE FLOAT — VOLUNTEERS WANTED! 

The Fitchburg Street Hockey League is looking for volunteers to help create and participate in an FSHL float for this year’s 4th of July Parade!

We’re looking for people who would be interested in:

*Helping design and build the float

* Assisting with decorating a flatbed truck/trailer

* Creating signs, banners, and decorations

* Representing FSHL during the parade

* Walking alongside the float

*Riding on the float during the parade

This is a great opportunity to showcase the incredible history, community, and spirit of the Fitchburg Street Hockey League while celebrating Independence Day with the City of Fitchburg.

Whether you have experience building floats, enjoy being creative, or simply want to help represent FSHL, we’d love to have you involved!

 #FSHLStreet Hockey League Scholarship

The Fitchburg Street Hockey League is proud to offer a $500 scholarship recognizing a former player’s dedication, leadership, and commitment to the league’s mission of making a positive impact on the community through youth sports.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

1. Be a high school senior graduating this year.
2. Plan to attend a post-secondary educational institution, including a four-year college, community college, or vocational school.
3. Have participated in FSHL for at least five years.

Application Requirements

To apply, please submit the following:

1. Name and contact information.
2. Current high school and anticipated graduation date.
3. School you plan to attend and intended area of study.
4. List of years participated in FSHL as a player (including House League and Raiders Travel Team) or in another capacity such as coaching or refereeing.
5. A brief essay (less than one page) discussing:

• Your experience with FSHL as a player
• How you have supported FSHL off the rink through volunteering, coaching, refereeing, mentorship, or other contributions to the league and community

Selection Process

The FSHL Scholarship is awarded based on the overall quality of the applications received and the depth of each applicant’s contribution to the league and community.

The FSHL Board of Directors reserves the right to withhold the scholarship award in any year if no applicant sufficiently meets the standards of the program

Facility Improvements at Fitchburg Street Hockey League 

Over the past two years, major upgrades have been completed across our facility, including:

• Brand new dek surfaces on all three rinks ( MS3 SURFACE )
• Replaced boards on all rinks
• New scoreboards installed
• New fencing around the facility
• Upgraded LED lighting for brighter, more efficient night play
• New kickplates
• Continued improvements to the surrounding grounds

A special thank you to the Leclerc Foundation and the Boston Bruins Foundation for their incredible support.

Without the generosity of these foundations—and the dedication of our amazing volunteers—these improvements would not have been possible in such a short period of time.
